Alternative Fuel Autos Sale Exceeds Estimates With 50 Percent

December 15th, 2011

Car buyers are now opting for fuel-efficient vehicle offered by different car manufacturers. This is what Auto Alliance announced as a way to start the celebration of National Automotive Alternative Fuel Sunday.

The group of car makers reported that there are now 10.5 million alternative fuel vehicles on U.S. roads according to 2006 sales data from R.L Polk and Co. The data also shows that last year alone, more than 1.5 million alternative fuel vehicles were sold. The figure surpasses the expectation of the auto industry by as much as 50 percent.

Today, car makers based in the U.S. or abroad are offering 60 models of alternative fuel vehicles. These include hybrid electric vehicles, flex-fuel vehicles which can run on a combination of gasoline and bio-ethanol, and diesel engine equipped vehicles which gets its juice from biodiesel.

Dave McCurdy, the President of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, has this to say during the announcement: “There are 10.5 million Alternative Fuel Autos on the roads and highways of every state across the country. We are happy to see that consumers are, in fact, discovering the alternatives that are available to them on dealership lots nationwide. We believe that the numbers of Alternative Fuel Autos on the roads continues to rise because consumers can choose from a variety of autos that reduce fuel use while still providing the utility, safety, performance and comfort they seek.”

While there are a lot of alternative fuel vehicle out in the market, car manufacturers are still looking for ways to develop more technology which will be employed by their vehicles to make them more fuel efficient. Alternative fuel vehicles are not the only vehicle to be produced with concern for the environment in mind though.

Sweet Sound Vroom

Simply put, C & D is fun because they feature cool cars. Anti-SUV seems to be softening their stance in recent issues, which to me is a parody of the false ridicule. But I see this as inevitable from the end cap with the tastes of American readers. This magazine is for automobile enthusiasts interested in domestic and imported cars. Each issue contains road tests and features on performance, sports, international coverage of road race, stock and championship car events, technical reports, personalities and products. Road test conducted with electronic equipment by engineers and journalists and the results are an important part of the review of the magazine. In addition to car reviews, each issue gives you the news about the latest technologies and developments in the industry and in politics that affect the car business. Also included are articles on the motor and important personalities.
Technically, the magazine is both comprehensive and accessible. People learn a lot of automotive jargon of this fabric, and as my understanding has grown I have not found the magazine too simple. The magazine said the pros and cons of the new cars. They also give a great performance tips to get more power out of the car reader. The magazine is very helpful on tips on how to make your car better. The magazine is filled with performance modifications that will make your car better “For over 50 years. The most popular magazine in the world of cars, automotive and driver, has put its readers on a virtual driver’s seat. Every month, purchasing car enthusiast magazines to get information and insight about cars and trucks both domestic and foreign. Car and Driver articles, reviews, and reports include everything from new car previews and road tests for industry news and automotive humor. This road tests and comparison tests are generally very good, and reviews generally filled with table data (acceleration times, prices, etc.). It’s quite well written and, in general, when you read the reviews you get the feeling that the editor / reviewer knows what he’s talking about.
Several other magazines may be better in certain areas, but for my money the C & D is just the tip for all car enthusiasts. It offers the best balance of automotive journalism seriously, including the most comprehensive testing possible, along with plenty of offbeat fun. C & D is not above engaging in such actions as sending a bunch of brains and AWD minivan on the way from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in the middle of winter and racing against a Porsche 911 Porsche-powered small airplane in order to entertain their readers. In the years since then, they’ve matured a bit, but fortunately not too much. I mean, what the price of another car magazine, among others, “beer case” the capacity of an SUV? Reasonable number of pages given to the varieties of exotic and perform of four wheels and fast. But Car and Driver does not show shame about majoring in which we all drive cars. Car and Driver classic automotive publications. This format is very user-friendly and accurate reporting, leaving the sensation to other publications.
